Name: Layla Nemati

Country: Germany (born in Iran)
Aktueller Wohnort: Nürnberg
I love to skate since: 16 years
I skate for Powerslide since: 2015
Actual skate setup: Powerslide Accel White with 4x110mm setup. As a blind skater I love the Disc closure system.
Why do you love to skate? In Josef Riefert, I found an experienced skating guide and was able to take part in inline skating races. In Nuremberg, I train on the track at 1. FCN Roll- und Eissport.
What motivates you to continue skating? Even as a blind person, you can skate fast, and my success proves me right. My philosophy: having fun with my guide Josef Riefert means success comes naturally. I can trust Josef Riefert blindly (hahaha). He gets me safely to the finish line.
Where do you most enjoy skating? In Nuremberg, at the skate park and on closed-off roads with no traffic.
What´s your best marathon time? 1.40 Std mit Guide Josef Riefert in Koblenz 2010.
What´s your advice for other skaters? Try skating with experienced skaters and then continue training while having fun, but always wear protective gear, especially a helmet.
Do you have other hobbies? Riding a tandem bike, shopping.
What is your motto in life? Nothing is impossible
What was your greatest success?
